SELF-EXPOSED:
An Exploration of the Self

Self-Exposed is a provocative and innovative experiential program designed to strengthen self-awareness and to provide a unique self-orientation process. Through the medium of photography the idea of self-portraits is presented to capture not just the physical image, but an intriguing view of emotions, symbols, themes and perspectives utilized by an individual. The overall theme presented within the sessions is that we as individuals are the authors of our lives - the artists in the midst of our own creations. The focus is directed through photographic assignments for participants to view their lives as an art form to uncover, develop and create. At the end of the Self-Exposed experience, each participant has an intimate collection of photographs that represent personal beliefs and symbols - a portfolio that only hints at the beginning of an inner journey of the self and an expanded comprehension of personal experience and direction.
