Lateral Living introduces the philosophy, "lateralism," which broadens
the focus and direction we normally take in viewing and experiencing our lives. Lateral
Living expands and moves out from the idea of the consecutive nature of time and linear
thinking, providing more than a beginning-to-end view of the world and of personal experience.
The concept of cause and effect is sidelined as an awareness of conscious creating moves to
the forefront. As an experiential program, it taps the imagination with provocative journaling
and discussion exploring the world of probabilities, altered states of consciousness, and
dream mapping and manipulation. Through exploring different angles of personal experience
and creative inner exercises, a greater sense of self unfolds and an enthusiasm for living
boldly and creatively ensues.
